Who decided we all needed to be "age appropriate"? I think it was a stupid idea!! I love color, bright colors!! I love chunky bracelets and dangly earrings. I love high-top tennis shoes and thigh high boots. I love leggings and skirts and big sweaters. I love putting my hair in a pony-tail right on the crown of my head. But I have to say, I haven't worn any of these since about the age of 21 when I found out I was pregnant and had to "grow up"! Ugh!!
My son's 17 year old girlfriend is the most colorful person I know. She has pants that are split down the middle. One leg is bright turquise blue and the other is sunny yellow. She has another pair that are half bright pink and half bright orange. Love them!! She has leopard print knee-high boots. Awesome! She wears leggings and striped skirts and tops that shimmer and jewelry that looks like you could eat it. Love it, love it, love it, love it!!
So here's to Tamra and all the other chickies, young and old, who dare to be themselves!! May you never become "Age Appropriate"!
