I am doing a Giveaway from my shop, Ruby June's Cottage. I will be giving away the basket and jars you see in the picture. I need your help deciding what to do with the prize. Should I paint the basket and the lids? Maybe white or aqua or maybe pink. Or do I leave it as is? Do I fill up the jars? With buttons, or shells, or marble, or odds and ends of jewelry findings or do I leave the jars empty for the winner to fill. They could be used for craft supplies, bathroom supplies and/or baby supplies like q-tips and cotton balls. The whole thing could be used as a centerpiece and the jars used as vases or candle holders. Should I weave ribbon thru the loops on the basket? Shoul I decorate for Christmas? (Ooh, I like that idea!) Sooo many possibilities! So in order to enter, please leave a comment on my blog and let me know what you would like done with the basket and jars. Also, visit my website http://www.rubyjunescottage.com/ (see sidebar for link) and leave a comment there as well letting me know what you think about my website. Leave your e-mail address in one of the comments so that I can contact you if you win. Ooh, I can't wait to see all your ideas!!

This basket is the cutest!!!! The jars are my favorite. I would keep the jar just as it is. I think I would put different jellies, peanut butter and honey in each of the jars. You could take it to the table each time your family eats. A loaf of bread or biscuits would be such an asset to the table next to this adorable basket and jars!!! Sign me up please and now I will go over to your website. Thank you so much for your kindness!!!

I love your site. It is beautiful. The jars are great! Of course since I love pink roses, I would love the lids painted with pink roses and filled with buttons and sewing supplies since that is my passion. But whatever you decide to do, I know they will be beautiful.

Hmmm, you have SO MANY good ideas already, it's hard to come up with another one! You could possibly paint some flowers on the glass. Maybe violets? If I won, I would love to use one of them for my paintbrushes!
ReplyDeleteMy email is michelle@wallflowersart.com. Thanks!
I think Christmas Fairies would be lovely, with lots of sparkly german glass glitter!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway.

I am loving this basket and jars!! I do like them just the way they are and I would use it on my kitchen table and add cut flowers in one or two jars and maybe tea lights in the other two! Or, since my fav color is PINK, paint the jar lids and basket a pretty soft pink and I will use as above or in my office to hold necessities and flowers t brighten the room!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!

This is so great. I think it would be lovely if the basket was painted in a distressed white and the jars were left empty but had little blue flowers painted on the lids. I would use it for cotton balls, q-tips, etc. It would look lovely in our bathroom.

OH, please leave them just the way they are! I'd fill with some spools of thread, vintages lace trims, buttons and seam bindings! Leslie Anne

I like the idea of painting the basket white and decorating the jar lids.
ReplyDeleteI have so many ideas. I do like the fairy idea only because I like fairys.
I thought you could use each jar to represent earth, wind, rain, and fire.
Ideas: fire - fireball candy, rain - those blue/clear rocks you put in the bottom of jars, earth - something brown (buttons, stickers, maybe sea shells, etc), wind - ribbons because that is what you need in your hair when it is windy.
Another idea; bath and body stuff for in the bathroom. Lotion, cotton balls, q-tips, and soaps
What a lovely set. I love them plain, basket and jars and then filled with buttons, embroidery thread, or crafty items. OR for different holidays Christmas/Easter/Valentines day, each jar filled with yummy colourful candy. OR summer theme one filled with little sea shells, one with beach glass and two half filled with sand and a tea light candle in the centre. Oh so many possibilities! Blessings, Heather
